Let the future in
I came across this very interesting video through the CoolCat blog, and was immediately impressed. The kids, all about 11 or 12 years old, have a pretty good grasp of what is going on in the world of modern technology and their education, and have put it across in such a way that I defy anyone not to find something in their comments that touches a nerve or makes sense, on one level or another.
I’ve also captured some of the better comments they make here:
“The future called, we told it you were busy”
“I can’t create my future with the tools of your past”
“I know how to memorise, teach me to think”
“I know how to recite, teach me to create”
“I know what you said; teach me how to speak for myself”
“We’re not cheating, we’re collaborating”
“We’re not reckless, we’re pioneers”
“We’re not angry, we’re frustrated”
“The future is happening, right this very minute”
Enjoy.
