Firstly many congratulations on being on in the top ten. Secondly I now have access to some other excellent sites about teaching and learning. Explored some of them already and they are just what I was after, many thanks.
Nigel – Thank you, it is an honour to be included in this list, and I’m with you on the fact that I have just found a few resources I didn’t know existed. SO much more reading to do, just wish I had more hours in the day .. !
All the best, David.
Just what I’ve been looking for – a list of great education blogs. Many, many congrats on your position. I have something to aim for now!! ;)
Ah well – not sure where this goes but it allows me to vent some spleen in a safe and controlled environment rather than taking it out on the poor kids…
This is a great site. I have been looking for a lsit of good blogs having just started one myself. I think I will enjoy this and may well follow it in the future. keithpullen-education.blogspot.com

And.. how did you get the TAG CLOUD (is this WORDPRESS?)
Ive been collating information from a network of teachers of the year in USA (52- every State represented)… I could drive them to this blog maybe for cross Atlantic polination?
Hi Mark – this is indeed a WordPress blog so the tag cloud is generated from the list of tags each post is assigned, and the larger the word the more frequent it is used. If you search my blog you will find a few posts on other tag cloud generators you could use to generate your own from a page or set of pages, there are some good ones out there!
All the best, David.

I am an educator in the U.S. Does anyone out there have any ideas about providing educational access to students in extremely rural counties? I have funding sources and lots of ideas, but I’ve been getting resistance from the students themselves who don’t want see the value of education beyond the age of 16. Any comments or thoughts?
Hi All,
I have recently set up a new business called Global Teach, a website which advertises teaching jobs around the world. Do you think it would be helpful to prospective teachers if I added a page for blogs and also teaching resources? http://www.worldwideteachingjobs.co.uk
GOOD SITE
Fantastic, I have been looking for a list of useful sites.
great site very useful indeed.
Nice blog, one of my friends at Deerwalk Institute of Technology Nepal (http://dwit.edu.np/content.php?page=academic-programs) has suggested me this site about Colleges in Nepal. Hope to get more informative articles.
I don’t know I would have put the Blog of the biggest UK postgraduate portal there as well, namely: http://www.postgrad.com/. They have more information on the Blog and the Portal than any of these Blogs. Pretty useful
Here is my blog http://truthofteaching.wordpress.com/ a day-to-day feed of a real life 25yr old teacher – enjoy
